We met through a mutual friend (because the universe didn't trust Daniel to make the first move). What started as a simple introduction slowly turned into years of laughter, unforgettable memories, and the kind of love that grows stronger (and funnier

Like any good relationship, ours has had its beautiful highs and a few cloudy downs — the kind that teach patience, strengthen your bond, and give you stories you laugh about later. Along the way, we quickly learned that one of us is the extrovert — bringing the energy, the conversations, and the "surprise" plans — while the other is an introvert, quietly keeping things grounded. Somewhere between the chaos and the calm, we found our balance… and we realised that this was forever!

Our love story is a blend of Fijian and Chinese cultures, and nowhere is that more evident than around the dinner table. From our much-loved Monday night dinners at Nanna’s house to gathering for generous feasts at the Fong’s house in Simla, food has always brought us together — as a way to connect, to laugh, and to feel at home. If there’s one thing both our families agree on, it’s that no one ever leaves hungry — or on time.

We also share a love for travel — even if that means leaving Fiji to explore another country, despite the fact that we both have only managed to visit one island here so far. Whether it’s discovering new places, sharing meals, or simply enjoying the journey together, we’ve learned that the best adventures are always better when shared.
